MN icon: Toasted Sausage Bread Yes the name IS strange, but trust us on this deliciously dense bread made with sausage, toasted walnuts, black currants, spices, and black coffee. Served with a free sample of our banana peanut butter. 6.95 Go on, now…be brave…try it! Those who do usually grab entire loaves to take back home as gifts.

Organic Eggs*** 1 egg $1.95 Each additional $1.25; Egg whites, add 55¢

Slab Pit Ham* Slow-roasted, char-broiled pit ham, grilled over open flames. Full order (2 thick slices) $4.95 Side (1 thick slice) $2.95

Maple-Glazed Bison Sausage* Made in-house from fresh, lean bison meat, pure maple syrup and spices. Full (2 patties) $5.50 Side (1 patty) $3.25

Hashbrowns** Freshly-grated Idahos sautéed in sweet cream butter. 3.60

Caramel-Pecan Roll* A warm, 1/4 pound melt-in-your-mouth caramel cinnamon roll topped with roasted, salted pecans and a rich, house-made caramel sauce. Mitch’s dad spent years developing this recipe; his mom spent years cleaning up the mess. 6.95

Yogurt with Berries** House-made, lemon-infused vanilla yogurt served with fresh berries. Cup 3.50 Bowl 5.25 Add hearty granola $2.50

MN icon: Lemon-Ricotta Hotcakes* Here are the hotcakes that put us on the map. Three melt-in-your-mouth hotcakes made with freshly-grated lemon zest and whole milk ricotta cheese. Served with fresh berries and pure maple syrup…but try your first bite without it! 12.95

Cornmeal Waffle* A plate-size house-made waffle with cornmeal-based batter, dusted with powdered sugar and served with pure maple syrup. 7.95 Add fresh berries $2.75

Cornmeal Pancakes* Big house-made cornmeal pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and served with pure maple syrup. 3.95 for your first one; 2.75 each additional. Add fresh berries $2.75

MN icon: Mahnomen Porridge** Native-harvested, hand-parched wild rice from the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe simmered with heavy cream, roasted hazelnuts, dried blueberries, sweetened cranberries and pure maple syrup. Cup 6.75 Bowl 8.95 (Like it? Take home a Porridge Kit with everything you need to make 4 hearty bowls at home…just add cream.)

Adapted from 1800’s trapper journals, Mahnomen (mah-NO-men) porridge is one of our top-selling, most talked-about menu items. But in our early days, nobody wanted to even try it, so we had to literally give it away in order to get folks to give it a go.

Corned Beef Hash & Eggs* Hand-pulled corned beef brisket with sautéed fingerling potatoes, sweet onions, and crisp celery. Includes 2 organic eggs plus a side of sourdough or multi-grain toast. 12.75

Huevos Rancheros** A crisp flour tortilla layered with buttery hashbrowns, spicy black beans, soft-scrambled eggs and a 3-cheese topping baked to a golden brown. Topped with hand-chopped salsa and a dollop of sour cream. 12.95 Add Guacamole $1.95; Avocado $1.75; Bacon $2.95; Pulled Pork $2.50; Bison Sausage $3.25

Vegetable Scromelette** Two eggs soft scrambled with fresh vegetables and cheese, served on a bed of hashbrowns with a side of sourdough or multi-grain toast. Ask your server for today’s vegetable selection. 12.25

MN icon: Walleye Hash & Eggs Tender, slightly crispy walleye sautéed with celery, onions and potatoes, then topped with 2 eggs and a sublime wild mushroom cream sauce. Includes a side of sourdough or multi-grain toast. 14.95

Oatmeal* Steel-cut and old fashioned rolled oats cooked in warm skim milk and served with brown sugar. 5.95 Add berries $2.75

Classic All-American Breakfast** Two organic eggs with hashbrowns and your choice of maple-glazed bison sausage, thick slabs of bacon, slow-roasted pit ham, or avocado. Includes a side of sourdough or multi-grain toast. 11.95

Breakfast Sandwich** Toasted sourdough bread brushed with mayonnaise and layered with crisp, thick slabs of bacon or avocado, vine-ripened tomatoes, and two fried organic eggs. Includes a side of hash browns. 9.25 Add a slab of Vermont White Cheddar, Swiss, Blue Cheese, Fontina, Pepperjack or American cheese $2; Guacamole $1.95

Biscuits & Gravy with Eggs* One large, house-made buttermilk biscuit with a creamy sausage gravy and two organic eggs. The best compliment? A honey from the deep South told us, “Sugar pie, ya’ll sure as ‘hail’ nailed this one.” 11.95 (Can be prepared with no sausage to make it vegetarian.)

Steak & Eggs* Locally raised beef from Stonebridge Farms, char-broiled to your liking (ask your server about today’s cut), plus two organic eggs, hashbrowns, a garnish of mixed greens, and your choice of sourdough or multi-grain toast. 15.95

Eggs Benedicts

Nearly-Classic Egg Benedict** features sweet cream hollandaise, a slab of slow-roasted pit ham, and one poached organic egg on an English muffin half. Includes a side of hashbrowns. 11.95 Add a second egg/ham/muffin half for 4.95 more.

Bison Benedict** Charbroiled lean bison flank steak served on half of a toasted English muffin with one poached organic egg and tangerine-jalapeno hollandaise sauce. For best flavor, we serve this beautiful cut medium-rare unless otherwise specified. Includes a side of hashbrowns. 14.95 Add a second egg/ham/muffin half for 8.95 more.

Crab Cake Benedict* Red pepper hollandaise covers a poached organic egg sitting on a crab cake made with cold water shrimp and lump crab meat. Includes a garnish of mixed greens plus a side of sourdough or multi-grain toast. 14.95 Add a second egg/ham/muffin half for 8.95 more.

Portobello Benedict*** A grilled mushroom cap filled with shaved pit ham, one poached organic egg, and wild mushroom hollandaise. Includes a side of hashbrowns and your choice of sourdough or multi-grain toast. 13.95 Add a second mushroom/ham/egg for 6.50 more. Make it vegetarian without the ham for 11.95 (1 mushroom cap) or 4.95 (2)
