A photo of our plush stuffed dog named Moe for the raffle

Remember, Mo, 2018’s pick of the litter can be yours. Get your raffle tickets to win the right to bring home this fabulous plush yellow lab in harness. Tickets on sale through 10:00 AM on July 4 and you don’t need to be present to win!!

Listen in on the NylaPhone Pawty Line to hear about a gorgeous plush pup named Moe! Then, scurry on over to the GDUI web site to purchase your own raffle tickets! Listen, the NylaPhone is ringing – … … … “Hi, Willow! Lakota here. Girl have you heard about the Grand Prize at this year’s ACB/GDUI national convention in St. Louis, Missouri? He’s a real cutie Pie!” “Oh, Lakota, tell me more! Who, or should I say what is it?” “Well, he’s a long, lean loving yellow lab, with dreamy, beckoning, brown eyes and soft, fluffy ears. What’s more, he’s in the service, too! Yep! You should see that custom-made leather harness he’s wearing.” “Oh, Lakota, I think I’m already in love!” “Okay, girls! I heard that! This is Giggles and I’m interested too. But what do you mean by saying he’s the grand prize?” “Well, Giggles, his name is Moe ‘cause he hails from Missouri and he’s another unique, one-of-a-kind and anyone can win him!” “Hi, girls! Mr. A here! What’s this I hear about a yellow lab named Moe? And, what’s so special about him?” “Oh, Mr. A, he’s so handsome…just like you! He’s the strong, silent type. He never whimpers or whines or barks. He doesn’t eat anything, He can lie on the sofa or bed and he won’t shed. He doesn’t require early morning or late night potty breaks so, quite naturally he doesn’t put down anything that anyone has to pick up! Just one look at him can turn a frown upside down and nobody can resist touching his soft, long, floppy ears!” “Well…he does sound like me-you know, strong, handsome, etc. I bet he’d make a great companion for just about anyone…even me. You say he’s the grand prize? How does one go about winning him?” “Anyone can win him, or anyone with the winning ticket, that is. The tickets are only 3 for $5 or 7 for $10. The drawing will be held in St. Louis, Missouri during the national GDUI convention and all proceeds will go towards GDUI!” “Well, I don’t know about you all, but I can assure you I’m certainly going to do my best to bring Moe back to Connecticut with me.” “You can certainly try, Mr. A, but I think Moe would look just fine sitting on one of my mom’s tables here in Maryland.” “Keep dreaming, Willow! Moe is just my type and he needs to stay right here with us in Missouri!” “Now, you all, don’t you know I’m gonna get that winning ticket?” “Well, the truth is that anyone can claim Moe. All that is needed is that one winning ticket…but you must have that ticket!” “Let’s call Sara Calhoun today!”

Purchase tickets, 3 for $5 or 7 for $10 and pay with PayPal online at the GDUI Products Page: https://guidedogusersinc.org/shop/. To do things the old fashioned way, via phone, call Sarah Calhoun, at the GDUI office, at 866-799-8436.

GDUI 2018 Convention Program

Sunday, July 1, 2018 – Wednesday, July 4, 2018

President: Penny Reeder

GDUI 2018 convention program team: Eileen Akers, Sarah Calhoun, Lynn Coats, Andrea Giudice, Dr. Nicholas Giudice, III Ph.D., Maria Hansen, Lynn Merrill, Nara Murphy, and Penny Reeder

Quick courtesy reminders from Mr. A. (Andrea’s guide): “Thanks for reading these, they will make my job, and that of all your guides, so much easier!  Always keep your guide on a short leash when out and about in the hotel- I know my mom gets distracted by people and things so if I am not close to her side, on a short leash, I sometimes forget my best manners and get into mischief.  Please give us guides a chance to relieve at least twice as often as at home, because, you know how it is when away from home- different water, lots of excitement and disrupted schedules Etc.  And, oh yes, Please always pick up after us, I am so embarrassed by what my mom says when she steps in poop!!  Remember that convention is one of the most stressful working environments for us, your fuzzy eyes, so please give us every opportunity to be successful!”

Remember, Mo, 2018’s pick of the litter can be yours.  Get your raffle tickets to win the right to bring home this fabulous plush yellow lab in harness.

To Purchase tickets, 3 for $5 or 7 for $10, preconvention order online at the GDUI Products Page: https://guidedogusersinc.org/shop/.

Message from the creator- There are many barriers that we as blind individuals need to navigate, but I am doing everything in my power to remove those that can keep us from exercising, moving our bodies, and creating the healthy bodies that we all want. I believe that it is my responsibility to take charge of my own health to the best of my ability. When we take charge of our own health, we become more confident one step at a time. I am inviting you to come with me on this path to a healthier, stronger and more functional body.
