Dear GDUI Members,
Election results are in! We on GDUI’s Nominating Committee wish to thank all of you who participated in our elections, as candidates and as voters. We are proud of our universally accessible voting system and proud that so many GDUI members express their appreciation for our democracy by voting in our elections.
Congratulations to GDUI President, Sarah Calhoun; GDUI First Vice President, Maria Hansen; GDUI Second Vice President, Cheryl McNeill-Fisher; GDUI Secretary, Lynn Merrill; GDUI Treasurer, Maria Kristic; and newly elected directors, Cynthia Hawkins; Lolly Lijewski; and Liz Bottner. Thank you to all of our candidates for your participation in an election we can be proud of, and for your service to GDUI.
The proposed bylaw change failed. An affirmative vote from two-thirds of members voting in the election was needed in order for the bylaw change to be adopted, and although the vote was close, that percentage was not achieved.
